Il recommande aux pilotes de pr\u00e9voir une marge de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 suffisante dans le calcul des performances au d\u00e9collage ou \u00e0 l\u2019atterrissage sur des a\u00e9rodromes dot\u00e9s de pistes courtes, notamment lorsque les conditions du terrain ou la m\u00e9t\u00e9o ne sont pas id\u00e9ales. En pareil cas, piloter aux limites de performance peut en effet se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler fatal. Heureusement, dans le cas \u00e9voqu\u00e9 par le SESE, l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve pilote et son instructeur en ont \u00e9t\u00e9 quittes pour une grosse frayeur.
